Answers to questions about materials used and care instructions
Q&A
What type of resin do you use?
The majority of products are created with Naked Fusion Resin, using the Artists Formula 2.0. A limited selection of projects may incorporate UV resin or deep pour resin from JDiction or Let's Resin brands.
Is it safe?
Naked Fusion is food-safe and BPA free. All items that would involve even incidental food contact are made with this type. Resin, once fully cured, is safe for home and every day use.
How do I take care of my resin item?
Although a yellowing-resistant resin is used, we recommend that your item be kept out of direct sunlight to avoid this. Items can be hand-washed with standard soap and water and cleaned with a soft towel. Avoid harsh astringents with a high percentage of alcohol and scrub brushes as they could scratch or degrade the resin.

Coasters and trays are heat-resistant to 200 degrees. Please avoid direct contact with boiling water or substances that may exceed this temperature. Do not microwave or place items in the dishwasher.
Do you use sustainable practices?
Every effort is made to reduce waste in the creation process, such as the use of reusable silicone tools.
Where do you get your images and text from?
The artist's original photography is featured heavily in the work. Additional images may come from sources such as Wikimedia Commons, the National Library of Medicine, NASA or the CDC. Many of the text excerpts feature the poetry of Emily Dickinson; other poets/writers include Langston Hughes, Phyllis Wheatley, Max Ehrmann and Khalil Gibran. Some items may include scraps from a diverse array of magazines. Please inquire directly regarding specific items.
Do you take custom orders?
Custom commissions are accepted for certain items, based on an inspiration prompt and/or color story, "e.g., blue and silver, romance & nature", or "a ringholder with poetry and gold leaf". Mock-up designs may be available prior to completion, however final products are at the discretion of the artist. Inclusion of bouquet flowers into an item is considered on a case-by-case basis, due to the prolonged nature of the flower preservation process.

Please e-mail us if you have a specific project in mind.

Why is there an imperfection in my item?
Part of the artist's ethos is celebrating the beauty in chaos, and a degree of irregularity or "imperfection" is often created intentionally.
As these are individually handcrafted items, unavoidable small inclusions may be present, such as dust or bubbles, however every effort is made to mitigate this.
